The Associates of St. John Bosco (ASJB) was founded by Fr. Christopher Vaccaro, presently the Chaplain and Director of the Catholic Campus Ministry at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg. ASJB’s purpose is to assist high school and college students in fostering their faith as an essential part of their journey in college and to help them make a faith-filled transition into this next stage of life.
We help college students connect their Catholic faith to their education. College is a great opportunity for college students to grow as individuals, learn their strengths, and make life-long memories with new friends. The Associates of St. John Bosco recognizes that integrating the Catholic faith into these experiences is essential. We want to give college students the tools to stay strong and grow in their faith.

Summer College Nights
College Nights help rising college freshmen and transfer students to network with other Catholics heading to college, and give students the tools to navigate the often difficult transition of faith life in college.
Students hear from upperclassmen who give their personal testimonies about how they transitioned to college and maintained a strong faith life. There are small groups divided by students’ universities and students walk away with a free bundle of Catholic books called the “Bosco Bundle” to bring to college that will help them deepen their faith while away at school.

All events begin at 7:00 pm. Students are encouraged to wear their college t-shirt to the event! The events come with a free pizza dinner, too. To attend College Night at one of the other participating parishes, register below.
