Happy Labor Day

Dear Parishioners and Staff,

Labor Day reminds us of the gift of work and to appreciate the contributions of the work of others. Purchasing food in the grocery store, mail from postal workers, servers in restaurants , health care workers, teachers, ministers, and first responders cause us to give thanks.

Solidarity, community, and our need for one another provide a great interconnection in the human family of all workers.Let us pray for those who are out of work or do not receive a living wage. May hearts of all employers be touched with generosity and fairness.

I give thanks for the parish staff and teachers in our Nativity School for the dedication and tremendous effort that they put into their work . You pour yourselves out in self donation which John Paul II called “the law of the gift”. Yes Labor Day reminds us of the gift of work and of being able to work..You make the workplace a daily joy not a daily drudgery. Thank you ….and let us pray for those who still need work during these challenging times.
Blessings on this Labor Day Holiday,
Fr. Bob Cilinski
Pastor
