I was deeply moved by the powerful visual images and symbols, as well as the words of Pope Francis’ URBI ET ORBI prayer the other evening. Like the streets of Rome, St. Peter’s Square was empty of people, but it felt as if Pope Francis was speaking to the whole world right there in front of him.
