WON | Annual Advent Tree

The Women of Nativity (WON) organize an annual Advent Giving Tree project to provide help at Christmas for our brothers and sisters in need by offering a conduit for parishioners to deliver much needed items to several Nativity charities and community partner organizations.  Gifts for children are highlighted, but persons of all ages benefit.  We would very much appreciate your support and prayers for another successful Giving Tree Project.

How it Works

Ornaments are hung on the Advent tree in the church narthex.  The ornaments will have the requested gift listed.  Please pick the ornaments of your choice on November 11 & 12 and November 18 & 19.

Parishioners purchase the requested gift and securely attach the ornament to the gift purchased.  This helps in separating and bagging the gifts for the various groups.

Requested gifts are then returned to the church narthex on the collection dates of November 25 & 26 and December 2 & 3.

It is important to return gifts on the scheduled dates to meet the delivery requirements of the charities. It would be sad if we could not fulfill a child’s request. Again, we thank our caring parishioners who will make this a special and happy holiday for many of our less fortunate neighbors!

Wrapping Instructions

Wrapping instructions for each newly purchased gift are on the back of the ornament.  Please securely attach the ornament you have chosen to the gift.  This helps us greatly in separating and bagging the gifts for the various groups.

Gift cards should be placed in an envelope with the recipient marked on the outside.  Gift dollar amount is written on the gift card and left unwrapped for easier handling.

Please note: Several of the organizations serviced request the gifts be unwrapped for easier distribution and to maintain the integrity of their program involving young children.
