Have YOU heard the “call” to work with youth?
YOU can make a difference in the life of a young person – leading them closer to Christ.
Who is an adult leader?
Adults 21+ years old, including college grads, young professionals, parents, guardians, grandparents, retirees, neighbors, and friends. Our adult volunteers are those who are passionate about sharing the Catholic faith with a young person. They have many gifts and talents – some like to work directly with young people, while others like to do the behind the scenes work. Take a look below to see how your gifts might fit into the needs of our ministry.
What if I have never worked with young people before? Will you train me?
Yes, we’ll give you training and a mentor if you are new to this ministry. In addition to receiving formation to enhance ministry skills, our volunteers are provided fellowship opportunities to build community.
What do you need help with?
We have so many ways to get involved, such as:
Direct Ministry
Hospitality: Life Teen Dinner Hospitality Crew | Lenten Soup Suppers
Theater Ministry: One Act Plays | Living Stations
Summer Camps: Vacation Bible Camp | Camp on the EDGE | WorkCamp
Diocesan Events: RALLY | BASH | Kings Dominion
How can I get involved?
Fill out the application above or contact Rebecca Judge to inquire at cym@nativityburke.org
The Office for the Protection of Children and Young People (OPCYP) requires all individuals to become compliant before beginning a volunteer position working with the youth of the Diocese. Once you contact our Director of Youth Ministry about volunteering, they will connect you to our OPCYP Parish Liaison to help you become compliant.
