Women of Nativity | WON

About Us

Our mission is to help the parish attain its goals and missions by promoting a sense of belonging to this Christian community, and to provide opportunities for evangelization and spiritual growth through service and events within the Church as well as surrounding communities.

ONLY because our parishioners generously give to each project can we give so much. We partner with our church and many other caring groups in the Metro area that help our brothers and sisters in need throughout the year. There is a lot of planning that goes into the projects and the more hands that share the workload, the better. Look below to learn more about our projects!

The Women of Nativity enjoy camaraderie and give thanks in June and December with a social. Election of new officers is held in May and Board Members meet in July. All women are invited to attend!

Meeting Time: September 8 and April 13 | 7:00 pm
Location: Fr. Ready Room

For more information or if you would like to join, please email NativityWON@gmail.com

White House Ornaments

This is WON’s only fundraiser. Proceeds cover WON’s annual operating costs and emerging needs.  A generous portion of the proceeds are distributed in May to organizations in need within our parish and the local community based on the approval of the membership.  The list changes from year to year.

Advent Giving Tree

The annual Advent Giving Tree is organized to provide help at Christmas for our brothers and sisters in need by offering a conduit for parishioners to deliver much needed items to several Nativity charities and community partner organizations.  Gifts for children are highlighted, but persons of all ages benefit.

Baby Shower

The WON Annual Baby Shower provides donations and support to the MaRiah Center, Birthright, A Women’s Choice, Hope House, Stella Marina, Catholic Charities, EHCO, Lorton Community Action Center, and Divine Mercy Center.  All help people at various stages of the family process.

Among the organizations, assistance is given to women before the birth of their child so they realize they have a choice, and continues over the early year in the child’s life so that he/she is clothed, nurtured and cared for.  The families serviced have the same needs that all families do.  Your contributions make it possible for these wonderful organizations to help others! Most of these organizations operate almost exclusively with volunteers.
