Announcing auditions for our summer show, Fiddler on the Roof! Winner of nine Tony Awards, Fiddler on the Roof tells the story of Tevye and his family in the Jewish community of Anatevka in Tsarist Russia. Tevye strives to keep up the traditions of his faith and culture against the backdrop of discrimination and prejudice.

Nativity Players Theatre Ministry is a non-profit organization that produces high-quality, volunteer-driven theatrical productions that reflect the timeless values of beauty, truth, and goodness. Through our performances we seek to inspire and uplift our community, that fosters spiritual growth through artistic expression. Guided by faith and a commitment to excellence, we aim to bring stories to life that resonate with the heart and soul, deepening the shared understanding of our human experience.

Meet the Director
Barbara Schwartz’s journey into theatre began over fifty years ago when a friend encouraged her to audition for their high school production of Carousel. Since then, she has worked professionally in hundreds of productions, taking on diverse roles as actor, director, production manager, designer, scene painter, technical director, and stage manager. For more than two decades, Barbara has been dedicated to teaching, directing, and coaching both children and adults in the Northern Virginia area. Her passion lies in nurturing the actors’ expressive abilities, while striving to elevate theatre as a transcendent art form. Barbara holds both a B.F.A. and an M.F.A. in Acting and Theatre. Her talented production designer husband Steve collaborates with her to bring their theatrical projects to life.
