Prison Ministry

About Us

Kairos BKCC is a prison ministry in Virginia … a ministry of the apostles whom Jesus, the Christ, has called into community and sent forth into the environment of the correctional institution.  Kairos prison ministry has been called the best example of the early church in existence today.  It involves all Christian denominations.

The mission of Kairos Prison Ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ with incarcerated men, women, youth, and their families, in order to impact their hearts and lives so they become loving, productive citizens of their communities.

Catholic Charities

The Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington Prison Ministry has launched a program for men and women returning to their communities after incarceration. It’s called, ‘Welcome Home Re-Entry Program’. Its mission is to reduce recidivism, educate the community and develop strong systems of support by building relationships and matching returning individuals with volunteer mentors.

Nativity works closely with this program.
