Girl Scouts

Nativity Girl Scouts are divided into two troops: Troop 52130 for Kindergarten—4th graders and Troop 52007 for 5th—8th graders.

Girl Scout Leaders Needed!

Troop volunteers help Girl Scouts become stronger, kinder, and braver than they ever thought possible.  Troop leaders—and volunteers in other roles, like troop money manager or cookie chair—engage regularly with their Girl Scouts and guide the through activities, like earning badges, exploring the outdoors, or running their own business through the Girl Scout Cookie Program.  Please sign up to volunteer!

About

Girl Scouts offers a safe, fun, and supportive environment that challenges girls to be their best and learn about teamwork and goal setting through a variety of experiences and adventures including science experiments, art, music, and exploring the outdoors.  The Girl Scout program is designed to meet the developmental, educational, emotional, and social needs and interests of girls in a natural progression of levels.

Troop 52130

Troop 52130 enjoys community service, camping activities, outdoor fun, and, most of all, sisterhood. These girls have supported the community by planting pollinators at our local library, participating in watershed and park cleanups, helping at a local animal shelter, and planting and donating vegetables to families in need. They also won First Place at the 2022 Fairfax City Parade for their service unit float and greeted various dignitaries during the parade.

Troop 52130 typically meets twice a month at Nativity. The Girl Scout season begins again in October.

Troop 52007

Troop 52007 recently earned their Bronze Award by educating the community about dog dehydration and maintaining healthy habits at dog parks. They advocated for clean water by presenting their findings and recommendations to Fairfax County Park Authority.

These girls supported the community in other ways- planting shrubs at our local library, participated in watershed and park cleanups, and made animal toys to donate to animal shelters.

These girls exhibit intelligent leadership and core Catholic values. They are a positive role model for our younger troop.
