Organizing for a New Dominion of Justice and Political Participation
Virginians Organized for Interfaith Community Engagement, VOICE, with approximately 40 member churches and organizations, is a broad-based, strictly non-partisan, multi-racial, multi-faith, multi-issue, citizens’ power organization, rooted in local congregations and other voluntary associations to make change on social justice issues affecting the lives of low- and middle-income residents in four Northern Virginia jurisdictions: Prince William, Fairfax, Arlington, and Alexandria. Its current action agenda focuses adequately funded public education that is free from bullying and fear, creating more affordably housing, fixing a broken Metro system, improving the area’s criminal justice and law enforcement, and provide greater religious freedom and tolerance.
