33 Day Retreat Series Ministry

The Nativity 33 Day Retreat Series Ministry offers small group retreats that follow the 33 Day Retreat Series by Fr. Michael Gaitley.  Fr. Gaitley has written a series of do-it-yourself retreats that you can read on your own or experience with a small group.  Here at Nativity, we welcome you to join a 6-week small group via Zoom.  These retreats are offered twice a year—in the Fall and Spring.  Fr. Michael E. Gaitley’s book, 33 Days to Morning Glory, is one of the most popular Catholic books of the last decade. His retreats have changed the spiritual lives of millions of people throughout the world. This trilogy of consecrations begins with Mary, then to Jesus, Divine Mercy, and finally to God the Father.

Registration is now open for the 2024 Lenten session. An introductory meeting will be held on February 27 via Zoom.  Join us as Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC guides us on a retreat to more deeply experience God the Father’s never-ending love for each one of us, just as Jesus experienced God the Father’s Love, through the divine word as captured in the Gospel of St. John.

33 Days to Greater Glory Retreat Synopsis

First week of readings: Introduce the reader to the persons that they will encounter—Moses, John the Baptist, Nicodemus, the Jews and two key women who unlock the reason Jesus came to reveal the Father.

Second week of readings: Ponder the deep meaning of Jesus’ seven signs of God the Father’s Love as told by St. John, beginning with the Marriage at Cana through Jesus’ raising of Lazarus.

Third week of readings: Enter the Upper Room and read St. John’s account of the Farewell discourse where we can sense the spirit of love between the Father and the Son, the Holy Trinity.

Fourth week of readings: We find ourselves at the foot of the cross with the disciple whom Jesus’ loved. We ponder what God the Father’s Love entails. We are invited to experience His mercy and love, and to share it with others in our own lives.

“This retreat has opened my heart and mind to the unlimited possibilities for a life of love in this life and the next once through a strengthened faith in God’s divine love for me.” – A recent retreat participant

Consecration Day Ceremony: April 7, after the 5:30 pm Sunday Mass | At the conclusion of the program there will be a Consecration Ceremony, which has been described as enlightening and inspiring.  All are encouraged to attend.  A reception will follow the ceremony for all families who want to participate.
