Nativity parishioners are invited to share an afternoon of meditation, conversation, and inspiration on May 3, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in the Fr. Ready Room. Two local people will speak at this event: our own Deacon Richard Kelly and Dawn Beutner, author of the book “Saints, Becoming an Image of Christ Every Day of the Year.”

This event is open to all Nativity parishioners. There will be an intermission between the speakers, during which refreshments will be served. This speakers event is sponsored by Prime Time Single Catholics. Prime Time Single Catholics is an area-wide social group for individuals 40 and over recognized by Bishop Burbidge.

"Sinners and Saints"
In his Gospel, St. John describes the miracle in which Jesus cured a man blind from birth. The man gained not only physical sight but also spiritual sight. In contrast, the Pharisees, who had the gift of physical sight, refused to believe in the Christ who was before them. In his presentation, Deacon Kelly will talk to us about our own experience with spiritual blindness.
Dawn Beutner will speak about her new book, “The Leaven of the Saints,” which has just been released. In this book, Dawn tried to gather holy men and women in bunches, like flowers, to help us better appreciate them. Dawn will have copies of her book available for sale and signing after her presentation.
