Eucharistic Ministers are Lay people who assist the priests in distributing Holy Communion at Mass. They may also take communion to home bound parishioners and Catholics in residence at Burke Lake Gardens, Burke Health Care Center, Sunrise Assisted Living residents and Heatherwood Retirement Home. Eucharistic ministers are appointed for a five-year term after attending a diocesan workshop held in the spring.
