“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me.” (Matthew 25:40, NIV)
Dear Fr. Bob,
Once again it is my honor to thank you and all the parishioners of Nativity Catholic Church as we gratefully receive the extraordinary gift of $524,777.27 for our brothers and sisters in extreme need.
As you heard me say, this gift of love for our neighbors comes at a time of such acute need in Haiti. We have had to launch an emergency appeal because of the convergence of civil unrest, lack of jobs, food shortages, skyrocketing food prices, and now a surge in COVID cases. Haiti needs our prayers and support more than ever. This check came on the day we realized just how significant the problems are in Haiti and it meant so much to all of us trying to help. It was the adrenalin shot of hope and answered prayers.
This money will complete the work in Balan and allow us to do the work on your 13th village, Bas Fosse. The people of Haiti and FFTP are profoundly blessed by the parishioners of Nativity Catholic Church. You are all truly sent by God.
Food For The Poor will continue to work hard to be an excellent steward of your gifts. May God bless you and all the parishioners of Nativity.
United in God’s Work,
Ed Raine
