The Bishop’s Lenten Appeal (BLA) supports our Diocese in its mission of sharing the love and mercy of Christ through serving the needy, educating and forming youth, encouraging vocations, promoting a culture of life and assisting the clergy, religious, and lay people who help build and strengthen our diocesan Church.
Having celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Diocese of Arlington, we move forward renewed and united in faith. The 2025 Bishop’s Lenten Appeal (BLA) theme is “Abounding in Hope” which reminds us of this great theological virtue that is rooted in Jesus Christ and the victory he won for us.
Please prayerfully consider a sacrificial pledge to this year’s BLA and help support the 40+ programs and ministries that serve countless people in our parishes and throughout the diocese. Your gift will be used to enrich and improve the lives of others and reveal to them the compassion of Christ.
Thank you to those who have pledged to the Bishop’s Lenten Appeal! As of March 20, Nativity parishioners have donated and pledged $618,548 with 12% of registered families participating. If you have yet to make your gift, please prayerfully reflect on your blessings and consider making a commitment. The BLA unites as a diocesan family to support programs, ministries and services which help tens of thousands of people. Every donation, large or small, is essential.
Ways to GiveThe Bishop’s Lenten Appeal (BLA) strengthens the bonds of faith that join us together as a Catholic family and provides the resources to assure the continued presence of Jesus Christ’s Gospel message and ministry across our diocese.
Whether promoting vocations, educating our future priests, providing lay ministry formation, teaching, evangelizing, providing outreach to youth, young adults and those in need, the programs and ministries of the BLA touch every parish and parishioner in our diocese!
Loving and merciful God,
you have placed in the heart of every person
the longing for true happiness.
As we abound in hope,
may our sacrificial giving
to the Bishop’s Lenten Appeal
uplift all who feel discouraged or abandoned
so they experience the depths of your eternal love
and come to know
that the fulfillment of their hope
is found only in you,
who live and reign for ever and ever.
Amen
