CONFIRMATION PREPARATION

The Arlington Diocese requires a two-year program. Students start preparing for the Sacrament in the 7th Grade and will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation towards the end of the 8th grade.

Students are also required to:

    • Attend the Confirmation Retreat (also a Diocesan requirement)
    • Provide a Sponsor Certificate
    • Saint Report (of Saint the student will use to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation)
    • Community Service Hours (minimum of 15 hrs)
    • Confirmation Banner
    • Confirmation Inventory (our friendly version of a Final Exam)
    • Confirmation Rehearsal
    • Regular Class Attendance

Parents/guardians are required to attend the Confirmation meetings during the student’s 7th grade year and 8th grade year (dates will be given at the beginning of the school year).

New students registering at the 8th Grade level must complete the 7th Grade curriculum—and the following year complete the 8th Grade curriculum  during their 9th Grade High School year.

If you are moving from another area or Parish and your child has completed the 7th Grade Program, we need a letter from the previous Parish the student attended or a report card.

High School Confirmation Program

Our High School Confirmation Program is a fast pace comprehensive 1-year program. HS students are also required to complete all other Confirmation requirements by the given deadline. Parents are also required to attend all meetings.

High School Confirmation class is on Tuesday nights.
