“When I was an incoming freshmen four years ago, I was looking for great friendships and great adventures. As a cradle Catholic, I felt at home going to Mass on the first Sunday of school, but had no idea just how important my university’s Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) would be to me. There I found people who have become my best friends and staff members and a chaplain that have become my most influential mentors. Most importantly though, CCM has given me a daily encounter with Christ. With this constant encounter, I have been able to build a relationship with God that is deep and steadfast. While I am coming to the end of my studies, my four years of being involved at my CCM has given me something far greater than a degree. It is fitting when JPII once said “A life with Christ is a wonderful adventure” because through CCM I found the adventure I had been searching for.”
