Marriage Enrichment Ministry, in collaboration with the Creation Care Ministry, is hosting their 5th annual Heroes Hike at Lake Mercer on Saturday, September 14 at 10:30 am.  All adults are invited to join us and Fr. Bob as we walk together to honor the sacrifices of veterans, first responders, civilian, and military heroes of 9/11.  In the evening, join us for some time together at the local Bunnyman Brewery at 6:30 pm.

All adults are invited.  Invite your friends!  We look forward to seeing you on the trail.  Bring a water bottle, and sunscreen and bug spray if needed.  All are also invited to join us for 9:00 am Mass before hand.

Where: Lake Mercer | South Run Field House, 7550 Reservation Drive

We will meet at South Run Park by the Field House.  When entering the park, stay on Reservation Drive to the very end and follow the signs for the “Field House.”  We will meet at the end of the parking lot.  There is no cost to enter the park or for parking.

We will hike “Mercer Lake North Trail” together from South Run Park (see map).  We will walk around the lake clockwise, walking on the northern part of the lake, and then will do a group picture at the dam.  The hike will be about 4.1 miles.  The Creation Care Ministry will also share some local information with us about the area, and Fr. Bob will start us off in prayer.
