Join us, as Martin Novak, chair of our Genealogy Committee, takes us back in time to Sicily at the turn of the 20th Century. Martin discusses what life was like for Sicilian peasants, why they made the decision to come to America, the challenges they faced in their new world, and a remarkable family trip in 2016 that took him and his family to visit their ancestral hometown of San Cataldo, Sicily. Martin also conducts the genealogy workshops here at Nativity church.
