NIHCS – October Meeting

Come join us on October 25th when we host the Wonderful World of Italian Wine.   This event will be located at the Nativity School cafeteria between 7 – 9 PM.

Did you know there are over 350 types of grapes in Italy that are commercially produced into wine? Italian wine is so much more than Chianti and Pinot Grigio! We’ll partake of a tasting of 5-7 different wines presented through the tutelage of Italian Wine Sommelier Angelo DeCecco. Angelo, one of our own members, is certified by the Associazion Italiana di Sommelier. He’ll talk about the diverse and broad mosaic of Italian wines and discuss wines and grapes your relatives would have had available from the 20 regions of Italy. He’ll tell us how to read labels and understand Italian wine terminology. Bring your wine questions. Angelo says no question is too difficult.

Tasting is $5 for members, $10 for non-members. As an added feature, bottles of wine will be available at a discounted rate to those attending. Please bring cash. We cannot accept checks or credit cards that night. Hope to see you Thursday, Oct. 25, 7 pm for this delizioso event.

As always, we’ll have a social hour after the presentation. Bring dessert or appetizer to share, if you can.
