NIHCS | St. Joseph’s Day

Come honor St. Joseph with the Nativity Italian Heritage and Culture Society (NIHCS)!

Event Details

Celebrate St. Joseph’s Day with NIHCS this March.  This day is commemorated in many parts of the US with specialty breads and festive foods.  Our very own Kathleen Powers will lead the discussion about Saint Joseph’s Day.  Two years ago we learned about the history of St. Joseph’s altars.  This month, we learn about how much the Italians love their Saints and the Blessed Mother and how they are celebration throughout the county and throughout the year.  Some observances were brought from the “old country” and some started in the United States.

Where: Nativity School Cafeteria

As always, a social hours follows.  Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share if you can.  Guest fee is $5, or become a member at any meeting: $15 Single, $20 Family (same household).
