Sunday Suppers
“If you want to eliminate hunger, everybody has to be involved.” – Bono
Members of Nativity gather every fourth Sunday of the month to reach out to the working poor and homeless men, women and children of Washington, DC, offering hot meals, clothes and, most importantly, friendship. Assistance is needed to prepare hard boiled eggs, sandwiches, soup and other seasonal items as well as volunteers to join in serving the meal and making friends with our brothers and sisters downtown. This is a good activity for families and service groups to work together in making sandwiches, cookies or other items to share with others.
