Come honor St. Joseph with the Nativity Italian Heritage and Culture Society (NIHCS)!
“St. Joseph’s Table” is a rich Lenten experience—a tradition in New Orleans—that thanks St. Joseph for brining rain after severe droughts in Sicily years ago. Local parishioners set up altars with buffets of desserts, appetizers, meatless dishes, and elaborate, homemade breads shaped into crosses, rosaries, and other religious symbols. Join us Thursday, March 24 at 7:00 pm in the Nativity School Cafeteria.
All are welcome! Parishioner Kathleen Powers, a New Orleans native, will explain the custom and tradition of “St. Joseph’s Table.”
When: Thursday, March 24 | 7:00 pm
