Patricia Molseed is a cradle Catholic who attended Catholic school from 2nd to 11th grade. She and her husband Steve celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary last year with a trip to Peru. They have five children, ages 22 to 45, and ten grandchildren, ages 4 to 23.
Patricia has been a Registered Nurse for 39 years, spending many years in the Emergency Department. She is now an Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor for George Mason University and a Wellness Nurse for Inova. Her family moved to Springfield in 2004 for Steve’s military career. They were members of the Fort Belvoir Catholic community for 18 years, but considered Nativity their second home. Three years ago, Nativity became their permanent parish.
She has a strong interest in budgeting and financial matters. Over the years, she has supported family and friends by helping them with their finances. After a divorce in 1996, Patricia sharpened her budgeting skills to balance work, finances, and time with her kids. In 2004, she considered sharing her journey to financial stewardship. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, she formally presented her experience to the Military Council of Catholic Women at Fort Belvoir in 2020, just before the COVID shutdown. Six years later, with more insight, she is here to share her story and ideas with all of us.
Childcare will be provided but is limited so please register early! Childcare will be offered in the school’s preschool classroom. Childcare will start at 6:00 pm and go until the event’s end. Please register by Sunday, April 12 to give us adequate time to hire enough childcare providers to be in ratio with adults to children.
The Marriage Enrichment Ministry subsidizes childcare; we want families present and to provide a safe and caring environment for your children.
What to bring: Parents can bring a labeled water bottle for their child. Please have your children eat dinner before coming to child care. Goldfish crackers will be provided as snack. If your child needs restroom or diaper-changing assistance, a volunteer will come and get you. Parents will need to sign their child in and out. Age and developmentally-appropriate activities will be taking place for the children.
A suggested donation of $20 per couple to the Marriage Enrichment Ministry would be appreciated to help cover the costs and dinner.
You may donate online below or by cash/check at the door.
