Take time to renew, reconnect, and strengthen your marriage! Marriage Enrichment Ministry invites all engaged and married couples to join us for a special mini-retreat led by Fr. Daniel Hanley, designed to help couples deepen their relationship with each other and with God, on Saturday, May 30, 2026 starting with 9:00 am Mass, then brunch and retreat in the school cafeteria. Childcare closed, at capacity.
This retreat offers a peaceful space for reflection, meaningful conversation, and spiritual growth. Through engaging talks, guided exercises, and opportunities for prayer, couples will gain practical tools to nurture communication, build trust, and grow in love. Whether you’ve been married for a few years or many decades, this mini-retreat is an invitation to step away from the busyness of daily life and invest in your relationship.
When: Saturday, May 30 | 9:00 am—1:00 pm
Where: Nativity Catholic Church | Retreat in the cafeteria
Suggested Donation: $20
What to Expect:
Come as you are and leave refreshed, encouraged, and more deeply connected.

NOW CLOSED, AT CAPACITY. Childcare will be provided but is limited so please register early! Childcare will be offered in the school’s preschool classroom. Childcare will start at 10:30 am and go until the event’s end. Please register by Sunday, May 24 to give us adequate time to hire enough childcare providers to be in ratio with adults to children.
The Marriage Enrichment Ministry subsidizes childcare; we want families present and to provide a safe and caring environment for your children.
What to bring: Parents can bring a labeled water bottle for their child. Please have your children eat dinner before coming to child care. Goldfish crackers will be provided as snack. If your child needs restroom or diaper-changing assistance, a volunteer will come and get you. Parents will need to sign their child in and out. Age and developmentally-appropriate activities will be taking place for the children.

Father Daniel Hanley is the fourth of six children from a beautiful Catholic family. He earned a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia in 1994 and a Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (the Angelicum) in Rome. Before discerning his vocation to the priesthood, he taught high school and worked for a U.S. Senator.
Ordained in 2005, Fr. Hanley served as parochial vicar at St. Mary Parish in Alexandria and St. James Parish in Falls Church, and later as Secretary to Bishop Paul Loverde. He pursued advanced theological studies at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C., earning a licentiate in sacred theology.
Fr. Hanley has served as Director of Admissions at the Pontifical North American College in Rome and as Associate Director of the Secretariat for the USCCB Committee on Clergy, Consecrated Life, and Vocations. He currently serves as Coordinator for the Propaedeutic Stage Program at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, where he works closely with men beginning formation for the priesthood.
There is no cost to attend, but a suggested free-will donation of $20 per couple to the Marriage Enrichment Ministry would be appreciated to help cover the cost of this mini-retreat.
You may donate online below or by cash/check at the retreat.
